I have a keen interest in paediatrics and completed the Diploma in Child Health in 2003. I see a lot of young families, and have two young children of my own. It is a pleasure to care for my patients, both young and old.
Skin Cancer Detection and Treatment
I have completed further training in dermoscopy (the study of skin lesions under a magnified light) and skin cancer medicine and surgery. I offer full head to toe skin checks, for detection of melanoma and non melanoma skin cancer. Most skin cancers can be managed in the rooms, with various treatment options including surgery, topical therapies and liquid nitrogen (freezing). Australia has one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners recommends regular skin checks for early detection. Book an appointment with me for your skin check now and remember to take your make up off before the appointment. Be prepared to strip down to your underwear.
Chronic Disease Management
Management of chronic diseases is the cornerstone of general practice. GP's are skilled at dealing with multiple morbidities in the individual patient and individualising treatment. Mental Health Care Plans and GP Management Plans can help eligible patients access allied health proiders such as psychologists, physiotherapists and diabetes educators. It is essential that patients have a regular GP to manage their chronic disease and help coordinate care. Book an appointment with me now.
More About Me
When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and my dog. I'm an enthusiastic amateur violinist, having resumed lessons with a wonderful local teacher again several years ago, following a 20+ year break. I play with the Frankston Symphony Orchestra, and The Peninsula Chamber Musicians.
I also enjoy running, travel and socialising with friends and family.
